This Basset originally began as a therapy for me.
Some sad changes going on in my personal life
(good in the long run but in the short term )
But as often happens when we are feeling sorry for our situation
we are humbled by the hardship of others.
I finished the teardrops on this basset watching the coverage
of the terrible tragedy in Moore, OK.
It truly put my sad feelings in perspective.
My thoughts and prayers are focused on the families
and friends impacted by such a terrible disaster.
A priceless picture of all the bassets.
They sit so patiently waiting for Dad to come home.
As soon as they hear his vehicle coming they start whining
and shaking uncontrollably. You'd think they loved him or something.
This seemed like a great craft when I first saw the craft.
After I printed everything out, lo and behold I found
out that all the instructions were in Japanese.
This turned out really cute but was quite a difficult task.
Today's Basset is brought to us courtesy of the US Mint.
He just begs you to offer him a penny for what is on his mind.
If you look closely I used different colored (more tarnished)
pennies for his ears to give them more definition.
